Background
The Woven Edge® is a UK subsidiary of Riviera Home Furnishings, a global leader in luxury textiles and high-quality flooring.
Riviera Home Furnishings began as a family-run business in Panipat, India – known as ‘the city of handcrafted weavers’ – where the Singla family first sold cotton fabrics from their own shop. By 1984, the third generation had expanded into handcrafted exports, earning a prestigious Gold Medal from the Handloom Export Promotion Council.
The acquisition of The Woven Edge® in August 2025 marked an important step in Riviera Home Furnishings’ growth, creating new opportunities to expand and strengthen the Company’s presence in the UK and international rug markets.
Through The Woven Edge®, the Group is developing distinctive new carpet ranges and innovative rug concepts, combining Riviera Home’s heritage in handcrafted textiles with The Woven Edge’s reputation for bespoke luxury carpets, rugs and runners – whether hand tufted, hand knotted or hand loomed.
