Being born into a creative family with a thriving weaving business in Scotland, it seemed likely Eilidh would follow a creative career. With her dad being a carpet designer himself, her parents encouraged her artistic talent by helping her to technically draw at a young age and teaching the value of creative art. After completing an art foundation course Eilidh went on to achieve a BA honours in Fashion Textile Design at Somerset College of Art. Leaving college Eilidh pursued a career in fabric design but was later inspired from various textile exhibitions on how exciting the rug market had become and so decided that flooring design would suit her creative flair. From here Eilidh began her design role learning to design on a cad system. Now with over twenty years experience she can turn her hand to all design styles combining the demands of traditional intricate design with the more transitional and modern looks. As a designer for Woven Edge Eilidh keeps up to date with design trend and colour to create innovative designs. Outside of work Eilidh has a young family that keeps her busy, loves to travel, keeps fit and has fun!
