Here’s The Woven Edge round-up of the top home decor trends to look out for to help you stay ahead of the curve in 2019.

Read our latest blog and you’ll discover that many of our key interior trends for 2019 offer a way to update existing looks at home, such as “Back to Bohemian”, or “Organic Matter”. This means you don’t have to redecorate your whole home to be on trend, just a few tweaks and you’ll keep ahead of the design curve.

TECHNOLOGICAL STATEMENT.

The digital age has moved on beyond what we may have thought possible, making pattern design a paradise and playground for designers to create new looks. Trends see us using printing techniques more, allowing greater colour capability with purposefully pixelated edges. From this we can get photographic prints onto all sorts of substrates whilst linear overlays add movement with multidirectional pattern giving a modern alternative to woven material.

IN CHECK.

Vibrant overlays of colour bring all varieties of checks to life. Mix these with traditional colour combinations to modernise staple tartans and use chunky yarn to emphasise stripes. If you don’t dare to go bold keep things tonal or monochrome to give a subtle nod to this key trend.

ORGANIC MATTER.
As it becomes increasingly important to create less impact on the environment, eco-friendly products are at the forefront of topical trends. Natural looking pattern is an important theme bringing back terrazo and rustic products. Organic materials like cork also bring back a sense of nomadic styling against industrial influenced surfaces.
