Our Decorex 2018 Highlights!

10/10/2018

2018 brought us one of the most exciting Decorex shows to date and we were beyond excited to be apart of the buzz.
Below are brands we loved, friends we made and a selection of inspiration for future trends!
Picture
  1. Room set and purple fabrics for Prestigious Textiles. Pantone brings us a must have colour year on year and 2018 saw us embrace Ultra Violet in all varieties. Prestigious Textiles takes inspiration from this and brings us a colourful collection of watercolour florals and vibrant geometrics. Visit their website for their new fabric range. https://www.prestigious.co.uk
  2. Decorex Show Entrance. A jungle-inspired entrance way feature for Decorex 2018 was one curated by DBW Interiors (Designed By Woulfe). Embracing the tropical vibes we love bringing the great outdoors into the home and this movement has really changed the way we approach interior décor with botanical prints being a staple trend and an uplifting must have pattern within textiles. http://www.designedbywoulfe.com
  3. Textiles by Beatwoven. Digital Printing has come alive and technology has grown considerably over recent times. This clever collection of fabrics from Beatwoven takes iconic music and weaves sections of these hits into a beautifully textured pattern. We love the pixelated nature of the design. http://www.beatwoven.co.uk
  4. Orac Décor – Stand at Decorex 2018. We just loved their stand one because of the gorgeous colour combination of pink and green but also because it very much reflects our style too showing similarities with our handtufted design, Tilt. Check out this design within the ‘Construct’ collection (https://www.thewovenedge.com/store/p149/tilt-ochre.html) https://www.oracdecor.com/en_gb/
  5. Little Greene Paint Company – New ‘ Green’ Colour Card. Working in collaboration with the National Trust, Little Greene have travelled the country to find hidden gems of colour that reflect past histories and tell the story of the people that enjoyed them in British times gone by. Order your colour card to see the new selection of 31 greens. https://www.littlegreene.com
  6. Mini Moderns. Detail of the Chinese Pavilion from their new collaboration with @museumoflondon Pleasure Gardens Wallpaper. A preview at the show gave us the delightful taster of Minimoderns new collaboration with the museum of London. We get such excitement from their fun and retro styling. http://www.minimoderns.com
  7. Chair from Alma De Luce. Exquisite detailing on the back of one of Alma De Luce’s chairs. It really adds to the luxurious quality throughout their collections. http://almadeluce.com
  8. British Design Shop, sketch of their Lara Chair by Carsten Astheimer. Having a focus of made in Britain, these guys had a beautiful range of handcrafted furniture and strive to unite artistry from the most talented of designers to bring us the best in craftmanship. https://www.britishdesignshop.com
  9. Colour Hive Limited – Materials Selection for Mood Brussels for the materials lab. The seminar programme covered all aspects of design and current affairs and one in particular gave us great inspiration going forward for future collections. This talk was delivered by Hannah Malein from Colour Hive Limited, producers of Mix Magazine. Key colour stories for Autumn Winter 2019/20 included Wild, Story, Solace, and Vibe. Keep an eye out on our blogs page for our take on these 4 trends coming soon. https://colourhive.com
  10. Future Heritage ceramic wall installation by Kaori Tatebayashi. Future Heritage gives up and coming British designers a platform to reach out to the interiors industry. K Ceramics answered the brief set by Decorex with her wall installation ‘Summer Song’ 2018. We love the intricate detail reaching out into each leaf, petal and stem. See all of her work at http://www.kaoriceramics.com
