The Interior Design show for Interior Designers by Interior Designers!
Design Central UK was conceived over breakfast in Chelsea Harbour. Having spent over 10 years travelling to London to visit suppliers and see new collections, Interior Designer Cath McCubbin thought it made sense to bring those companies and collections to Designers at their own location. Cath says, “Our aim is to make your day an enjoyable and constructive one. With all your favourite suppliers in one place, we help you by offering, free entry, free parking and a comprehensive show guide that can be used as a resource after the event. Delicious lunches available to buy and all hosted at the stunning Rockbeare Manor.” Don’t miss out on this brand new, annual event that, if it follows in its northern partners footsteps, promises to grow year on year in popularity. Benefits of attending include:
Here are some of the great brands you’ll be able to see:
You simply can’t miss this year’s essential design event.
Here’s The Woven Edge round-up of the top home decor trends to look out for to help you stay ahead of the curve in 2019.
Read our latest blog and you’ll discover that many of our key interior trends for 2019 offer a way to update existing looks at home, such as “Back to Bohemian”, or “Organic Matter”. This means you don’t have to redecorate your whole home to be on trend, just a few tweaks and you’ll keep ahead of the design curve.
ANIMAL PRINT.
Animal print in all it’s variation continues to be a popular pattern in both fashion and interiors. Abstract versions of this classic trend gives us a different look with mirrored effects, fragmented form and striped design to break up bold pattern.

TECHNOLOGICAL STATEMENT.
The digital age has moved on beyond what we may have thought possible, making pattern design a paradise and playground for designers to create new looks. Trends see us using printing techniques more, allowing greater colour capability with purposefully pixelated edges. From this we can get photographic prints onto all sorts of substrates whilst linear overlays add movement with multidirectional pattern giving a modern alternative to woven material.

IN CHECK.
Vibrant overlays of colour bring all varieties of checks to life. Mix these with traditional colour combinations to modernise staple tartans and use chunky yarn to emphasise stripes. If you don’t dare to go bold keep things tonal or monochrome to give a subtle nod to this key trend.

Go full on into the depth of darkness with rich shades of ebony and coordinate with natural elements of greenery and wooden furniture to add aspects of light. Coral uplifts intense tones and is set to be a big accent colour for 2019 being Pantones colour pick of the year.

FOREVER FLORAL.

ORGANIC MATTER.
As it becomes increasingly important to create less impact on the environment, eco-friendly products are at the forefront of topical trends. WILD
This trend allows nature to take back the landscape to it’s untouched and untamed beauty. Purposefully left to regenerate wildlife and natural habitats has been of great importance to balance out our busy urban city lifestyle and sustain a greener future for generations to come. Boundaries are blurred where indoors and outdoors come together for a sense of peace and mindfulness. Indoor plants have soared within
home interior trends and have been proven to create a happier living environment. #planteriordesign. The idea of city forests have taken focus in our ever growing awareness of our surroundings. Colours are earthy but soft with clay, terracotta and rust adding a contrast of warmth against brighter tones of forest green, moss and verdigris. Textures are rustic and make use of natural elements of stone, wood and vegetation. Crackled surfaces of worn and weathered elements allow for abstract colour movement and oxidised effects.
STORY
Tracing routes back to a cultural heritage of nostalgic times, designs take a worldly influence whilst still remembering individual personality. Designs have an aged look with textures of weathered wood and stone layered up with patterns of decorative blooms and botanical elements. Faded prints of flora and fauna embrace a vintage look often drawn with linear qualities to give more of a simplistic graphical look. Colours include a bright and cheery ochre, mahogany, marine blue, cardamon, greige, sail white, brass and haint blue.
SOLACE
Minimal design takes on organic abstract style within this Solace trend. Layers of natural elements creating landscaped pattern. A considered palette of almost neutral tones; blue now being a close third behind cream ones and grey keep a balance of tone, not being too bold or too brash in contrast. Harmonising is key with colours bleeding into one another for subtle change. A search for silence is described with Antarctic reference of white space and soft texture. Grey tones of haze and storm sit alongside purple infused twilight blue and amethyst grey with only maroon making any difference of colour impact.
VIBE
Colour and light is the centre focus for this trend where experimental clashes of pattern create high contrast and a curiosity to discover more. Designs make use of simple polka dots, bright accents and black outlines creating a very pop art style.
Our latest "Construct Collection" is completely on the Vibe trend. These stunning and dramatic, modern designs create a brilliant talking piece and really add the wow factor to any hall way or contemporary styled home. We designed these and had them handmade in readiness for the Decorex Show where they proved to be very popular, want one for Christmas? You'll need to act fast!
