​Visit The Tate Modern in London and take in Zeid’s obsession with line and bright colour in this summer fun exhibition.
After being one of the first women to be formally trained in Istanbul she continued her studies in Paris in the late 1920s and grew with success from here.
She was well respected and seen as an important figure in the early 1940s and 1950s. Her vibrant abstract paintings combine a fusion of Islamic, Byzantine, Arab and Persian influences with European approaches to abstraction.

The Tate St Ives 
​Exhibition: Jessica Warboys

​Large scale paintings, films and sculptures by British artist Jessica Warboys burst into the ever expanding Tate gallery this summer. Inspired by coastal landscapes she takes inspiration from the sea and the surrounding areas of St Ives.
‘Sea Painting, Zennor 2015’, was made on the Zennor coast near St Ives. She created the paintings on the beach, casting mineral pigments directly onto a damp, folded canvas, which was then submerged under the sea before being pulled ashore. The process allows the waves, wind and sand to shift and scatter the pigment,naturally painting the canvas. Don’t miss this incredible landscape of artwork.

​Almost 250 years ago, the Royal Academy’s founding members agreed to hold an “Annual Exhibition of Paintings, Sculptures and Designs … open to all Artists”, this was to help finance the training of young artists in the Royal Academy Schools.
The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2017 is showcasing an array of colour filled art, from all different backgrounds representing everyday art being made by the everyday person.
Expect to find a diverse range of media, from painting, printmaking, film and photography to sculpture, architectural works and performance art.
Now, nearly 250 years later, we see the Royal Acadamy close to reaching their big anniversary in 2018.

The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition has over 1,000 pieces in the show and gives you the chance to view and buy all works of art involved in the show online.

‘Grayson Perry: The Most Popular Art Exhibition Ever!’

This summer Grayson Perry, one of the most insightful observers on contemporary society and culture, presents a major exhibition of new work at the Serpentine Galleries in London.
His work touches on many themes including popularity and art, masculinity and the current cultural landscape.
One example of Grayson being very much politicly open is a pair of pots at the Serpentine Exhibition, one for leave, one for remain really depicting the divide within British society at present after the Brexit vote.
Its a great exhibition to visit to get your mind thinking and even involve yourself in the debates of todays world.

Edinburgh Art Festival

​​​​The Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh presents an exhibition titled ‘Plant Scenery of the World.’ at Inverleigh House.
There’s a variety of art ranging from the new and emerging artists to the well established, with some being commissioned by the RGBE.
The exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the iconic modernist Glasshouses, opened in 1967 for the collection of house plants in tropical, temperate, rainforest and arid lands by Scottish explorers.
Art on display demonstrates the way plants are used as symbols, reflect on captivity and false habitats. They also consider changing attitudes towards exploration and display, mindful of historical narratives dominated by Western Imperial exploration.
This particular display really echoes the current green scene and tropical trend of which you will find reflected within the Woven Edge Floral collection.

Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion: Room 40
