Make a Room look Luxurious

Colour is key and now is the time to be adventurous with vivid combinations of light and bright tones of peachy pinks and sunshine yellows anchored with statement bold tones of deep emerald green and indigo blue.
Indulge in large items of furniture such as a rolltop sofa or an oversized mirror to create a focal point and then accent around this with flashes of metallic and hints of pattern through fabric and accessories.
Designs exert a natural opulence, using wooden and marble patterns as feature walls and floors. Don’t be afraid to carry colour and pattern through to whatever surface you see necessary, there is no limit and no right or wrong when it comes to cool colour clash.
Finally bring in an outdoor feeling of green with indoor plants promoting good well being and a sense of calm to a room.

Pantone 2018

‘The Spring 2018 palette encourages a sense of fun and playful release. With an air of complexity and distinctiveness, we find ourselves in a sanctuary of color that is ideal for some more unique and dramatic color mixing.’

Embracing bright colour will be the standout trend for Spring 2018 having an intensity of tone rather than the subtlety of softened pastels. This allows for dramatic colour mixing for a unique look and Pantone have given us some great colour clashing opportunities. The core back to basic neutrals are key for a landscaped backgrounds of natural tone effortlessy anchoring a vivid pallette. Even metallic tones can be used as a neutral base, teamed well with marbled whites and concrete coloured surfaces.
Pantone have created a colour palette to allow consumers to start building their own personal style.

Tactile Textures
A depth of pattern and colour is enhanced through matt and shine finishes through complimentary clashes of different material used.
Statement Patterns
Hexagonal features are big news and by using the floor as a blank canvas allows for a great space for a splash of design and colour.
Bold Backgrounds
Take advantage of Pantones vibrant colour palette for S/S 2018 and make a statement feature wall stand out against an array of bold colour.

I think you are right about pantone being a playful color. I need to redo the interior of my kitchen. I'll have to get an interior designer to redo the paint and trim.
